Acura RSX Upper Radiator Hose - 19501-PND-000
Got coolant leaking from your upper radiator hose on your RSX? Your factory radiator hose's probably cracked or the rubber's soft and swollen. The Acura RSX upper radiator hose (part number 19501-PND-000) connects your radiator's upper neck to your thermostat housing. When the hose gets old, the rubber hardens and cracks, or it gets soft and swells from heat. Either way, it leaks coolant. If your upper radiator hose is leaking, bulging, or it's soft when you squeeze it, replace it before it splits and leaves you stranded.
Here's Why Your Radiator Hose Fails
Your radiator hose sits next to your engine where it's exposed to constant heat cycles. Every time your engine heats up and cools down, the rubber expands and contracts. After 10-15 years, the rubber gets hard and brittle, or it gets soft and swollen. Once the rubber's degraded, the hose starts leaking at the connections or it develops cracks. If the hose is swollen and soft, it can collapse under vacuum when your engine's cooling down, which restricts coolant flow and causes overheating. Replace your radiator hoses before they fail.
EPDM Rubber Construction
This radiator hose is made from EPDM rubber. EPDM rubber handles heat and coolant better than cheap rubber hoses. It doesn't degrade as quickly from heat cycles and it doesn't swell from coolant exposure. You're getting a factory-spec hose that'll last as long as your original hose did.
Lower Hose Sold Separately
This is the upper radiator hose only. The lower radiator hose is sold separately. If your lower hose is old too, replace both hoses at the same time. You've already got your coolant drained, so you might as well do both hoses while you're in there. Find the lower hose for the RSX under this part number, OHA-19502-PND-000.

Use fresh coolant when you refill your system. Don't reuse old coolant. Bleed your cooling system after you fill it. Air pockets in your cooling system will cause overheating.
