Note: This tray sits on top of your trunk carpet. It doesn't replace the carpet or attach to anything. It just drops in and stays put from its own weight and the raised edges that follow the trunk contours. If you've got a spare tire mounted in your trunk floor, the tray sits over it. The tray's molded to accommodate the spare tire well. When you're loading heavy items, the tray might shift slightly. That's normal. Just push it back into position.
