Building a high-performance K series and you need fresh oil jet squirters? This is the OEM oil jet squirter body that sprays oil on the underside of your pistons to keep them cool under hard driving. Part number 15280-PRB-A00. It bolts into your engine block and shoots a stream of oil up at your piston skirts. When you're running high RPM, high boost, or high compression, your pistons generate way more heat than stock. The oil jets help cool them down and prevent piston seizure or ring land failure. If you're doing an engine rebuild or building a high-horsepower K series, replace these jets. Old jets get clogged with carbon and sludge and they don't spray properly.

    Here's What Oil Jets Do

Oil jet squirters spray engine oil directly at the bottom of your pistons while the engine's running. Your pistons are taking constant abuse from combustion heat and friction. The oil spray cools the pistons and lubricates the piston skirts. On stock motors running normal conditions, the oil jets help with longevity. On built motors running high boost (15+ psi), high compression (12:1+), or sustained high RPM (8000+ redline), the oil jets are critical. Without proper piston cooling, your pistons expand from heat, the ring lands crack, or the piston skirts seize in the cylinder walls. That's catastrophic engine failure. The oil jets prevent that by keeping your pistons at a safe operating temperature.

    Replace Them During Engine Builds

If you're tearing your motor down for a rebuild, replace the oil jets. They're cheap and they're buried in your block. After 100k+ miles or if you've been running dirty oil, the jets get clogged with carbon deposits. Clogged jets don't spray right and your piston cooling suffers. When you're building a motor for boost or high RPM, you need those jets flowing properly. Don't reuse old crusty jets and find out they're clogged when your piston cracks at 20 psi. Just replace them. It's cheap insurance on a $5000 engine build.

Sold Individually, 4 Required Per Engine

This oil jet's sold individually. K20A2, K20Z1, K20Z3, K23A1, and K24A2 engines use four jets total (one per cylinder). If you're replacing all of them, order four. Most people replace all four at once during an engine rebuild. No point mixing old jets with new jets. Replace them as a set.
