Here's Why E85 Makes More Power

E85's got a way higher octane rating than 91 or 93 pump gas. Higher octane means you can run more boost and more timing without knock. Your stock 1.5T turbo's boost-limited by the ECU to prevent knock on pump gas. When you're running E85, Hondata's tune cranks up the boost and timing because E85 can handle it. You're making way more power from the same stock turbo, stock intake, stock cat, and stock everything else. The downside's that E85 has less energy per gallon than pump gas, so your fuel economy drops. You're burning more fuel to make more power. If you're okay with worse MPG, E85's the easiest way to make big power on a stock turbo.

Preloaded Conservative Tune from Hondata

The CANFlex kit comes with conservative, safe calibrations preloaded in Hondata's FlashPro Manager software. Hondata's tune's designed to give you a flat torque curve and consistent power delivery without being crazy aggressive. You're getting earlier boost spool, more power everywhere, and it's smooth and driveable. If you want more power than the preloaded tune, you can get it custom tuned by a professional tuner, especially if you're running a built motor or other supporting mods.

Run E85 or Pump Gas Whenever You Want

The CANFlex system's got an ethanol content sensor in the fuel line that reads what fuel you're running. You can fill up with E85, pump gas, or a mix of both, and the ECU automatically adjusts the tune based on what's in your tank. If you're going to the track, run E85 for max power. If you're on a road trip and there's no E85 around, fill up with 91 or 93 pump gas and the car switches to the pump gas tune. You don't need to do anything. The system figures it out.

49-State SEMA Certified

The CANFlex kit's 49-state SEMA certified, which means it's emissions-compliant in 49 states. You're not deleting your cat or messing with emissions equipment. You're keeping your stock intake, stock cat, and stock turbo. The kit just adds a fuel line adapter with an ethanol sensor and a CAN converter box that talks to your ECU. California's not included in the 49-state certification, so check your local laws if you're in CA.
