The Hondata OBD1 clear ECU cover replaces your stock metal ECU lid so you can see the circuit board and LEDs. It's CNC-cut from clear acrylic so you've got a full view of your ECU internals. You can see everything without popping the cover off, plus it looks way cooler than a boring metal box sitting under your dash. Your ECU's doing all the work, might as well show it off.

Stock ECU covers are solid metal. You can't see anything inside without unbolting the cover and pulling it off. When you're running a Hondata ECU with LED indicators for boost control, vtec engagement, launch control, or tune status, you're stuck guessing what's happening or you're constantly removing the cover to check the LEDs. The clear acrylic cover lets you see all the LEDs and the circuit board without opening anything. You're uploading a new tune and you can watch the status LEDs blink in real time. Your boost control's acting weird and you can see if the ECU's throwing an error code LED. 

Better Bluetooth Signal Too

If you're running Hondata's bluetooth module for datalogging or tuning, the clear acrylic cover probably improves your signal quality compared to the stock metal cover. Metal boxes block radio signals. Acrylic doesn't. You'll get better bluetooth range and connection stability when your ECU's not buried inside a Faraday cage. Not a huge deal if your ECU's mounted right under your dash, but if it's tucked behind panels or in the glovebox area, every bit of signal strength helps.
