Hybrid Racing Universal Thermal Protective Heat Sleeve
Got wires, fuel lines, brake lines, or shifter cables running near your header or exhaust? You need heat protection or they're going to melt. Our Hybrid Racing thermal protective heat sleeve wraps around your wires, cables, fuel lines, and brake lines to protect them from extreme heat. The sleeve's braided from fiberglass and it's saturated with high-temperature resin, so it handles continuous exposure to exhaust manifold heat without melting or breaking down. If you're running wires or hoses near your header, turbo, or exhaust, you need heat sleeve to protect them.
Here's Why You Need Heat Sleeve
When you're running wires or hoses near your exhaust, they're exposed to extreme heat. Your exhaust manifold gets up to 1500°F. Your wiring insulation melts around 200-300°F. If your wires are touching your header or running too close to it, the insulation melts and you get electrical shorts. Fuel lines and brake lines do the same thing. The rubber or plastic hose melts, you get a fuel leak or brake line failure, and you've got a serious problem. Heat sleeve creates a barrier between your wires or hoses and the heat source. Cheap fiberglass sleeve sheds dust constantly and it's itchy and irritating to work with. Our resin-saturated sleeve doesn't shed dust like cheap sleeve does. The sleeve's also dyed, so it doesn't look like raw fiberglass. You're getting a clean-looking heat sleeve that works properly.
