PWR Aluminum Radiator - 2023+ Honda Civic Type R FL5 / 2024+ Acura Integra Type S DE5
Your stock FL5 or DE5 radiator's struggling to keep temps down when you're pushing your car hard at the track or on a hot day. The PWR aluminum radiator replaces your factory radiator with a high-flow aluminum core that cools way better. PWR makes three versions: Street Spec for daily driving and occasional track days, Weekend Warrior Spec for aggressive street driving and frequent track use, and Track Spec Triple Pass for dedicated track cars. All three use PWR's louvered R-fin and rolled dimple tube construction, which increases surface area and improves heat transfer compared to your factory radiator. Pick the version that matches how you're using your car.
Here's Why You Need a Better Radiator
Your factory radiator's adequate for street driving, but when you're at the track running back-to-back sessions, your coolant temps climb. High coolant temps mean your engine's making less power and you're getting closer to overheating. When your engine gets too hot, your ECU pulls timing and you lose power. If temps keep climbing, you're risking head gasket failure or warping your head. A better radiator increases your cooling capacity so your temps stay consistent even when you're pushing hard. You're maintaining consistent power output and you're not worrying about overheating between sessions.
Street Spec - Single Pass for Daily Driving
The Street Spec radiator's for daily drivers who do occasional autocross or track days. It's a single-pass design, which means coolant flows through the radiator once from inlet to outlet. Single-pass radiators flow more coolant volume, which makes them better for street driving. The Street Spec radiator cools way better than your factory radiator without being overkill for daily driving. If you're commuting to work every day and doing occasional spirited driving or autocross on weekends, this is what you need.
Weekend Warrior Spec - More Cooling for Aggressive Use
The Weekend Warrior Spec radiator's for people who drive their car hard on weekends. It's got increased core efficiency and cooling volume compared to the Street Spec radiator. If you're doing frequent canyon runs, aggressive street driving, or regular track days, the Weekend Warrior handles repeated hard pulls and sustained high-speed driving better than the Street Spec. It's still totally streetable for daily driving, but it's got more cooling capacity when you're pushing hard.
Track Spec Triple Pass - Maximum Cooling for Dedicated Track Cars
The Track Spec Triple Pass radiator's PWR's most aggressive radiator. It's designed for serious track use where you're doing HPDE, time attack, or endurance racing. The triple-pass design forces coolant to flow through the radiator three times before exiting, which increases coolant residence time and maximizes heat rejection. Coolant enters the radiator, flows through the core from one end to the other, loops back through the core a second time, then loops back through a third time before exiting. You're maintaining consistent coolant temps even during long track sessions in hot weather. This radiator's for dedicated track cars. If you're daily driving your car, get the Street Spec or Weekend Warrior instead.
Louvered R-Fin and Rolled Dimple Tube Core
All three PWR radiators use louvered R-fin and rolled dimple tube construction. The louvered fins increase surface area, which means more air contact and better heat transfer. The rolled dimple tubes create turbulence in the coolant flow, which improves heat transfer from the coolant to the tubes. You're getting way more efficient cooling than your factory radiator's flat tube design. More surface area and better coolant flow mean lower temps under the same conditions.
Direct Bolt-In Replacement
All three PWR radiators are direct replacements for your factory radiator. You unbolt your factory radiator, bolt the PWR radiator in using your factory mounting points, connect your hoses, and you're done. You're not modifying your radiator mounts or your fan shroud. They fit exactly like your factory radiator.
What You Get
- PWR aluminum radiator (choose Street Spec, Weekend Warrior Spec, or Track Spec Triple Pass)
- Louvered R-fin and rolled dimple tube core construction
- Street Spec: Single-pass design for daily driving and occasional track use
- Weekend Warrior Spec: Increased core efficiency for aggressive street and frequent track use
- Track Spec Triple Pass: Triple-pass design for maximum heat rejection on dedicated track cars
- Direct bolt-in replacement for factory radiator
- All aluminum construction
- Improved cooling capacity over factory radiator
Fits Your Car
- 2023+ Honda Civic Type R FL5
- 2024+ Acura Integra Type S DE5
Compatible Engines
- K20C1 (FL5 Civic Type R, DE5 Integra Type S)
Note: Pick the right radiator for how you're using your car. Street Spec for daily driving with occasional track days. Weekend Warrior Spec for aggressive street driving and frequent track use. Track Spec Triple Pass for dedicated track cars doing HPDE, time attack, or endurance racing. The triple-pass radiator's overkill for street use. Images shown may be from the FK8 radiator. The FL5/DE5 radiators may look slightly different but they use the same core construction.
