This is the correct harness for 10-pin OBD2 vehicle-side connectors only. If your Civic is a 1999-2000 CX, DX, EX, or HX, your car has an 8-pin harness and this part will not fit. See the fitment section below before ordering.

• OBD2A vs. OBD2B: OBD2A covers 1996-1997 model years. OBD2B covers 1998-2000. Both use the 10-pin connector on the vehicle side (where compatible), and this harness works for both - as long as your specific trim uses the 10-pin plug.
• You do NOT need this harness if: You are swapping ECUs only, or if your vehicle already has an OBD1 distributor installed.
• Pair it right: If you are doing a full OBD2-to-OBD1 conversion, you will also need a separate ECU jumper harness - either the OBD2A to OBD1 ECU harness or the OBD2B to OBD1 ECU harness, depending on your year.

• Honda Prelude: 1996-2000

Not compatible with 1999-2000 Honda Civic CX, DX, EX, or HX - those trims use an 8-pin vehicle-side connector and require a different harness.
