The Hawk Performance HPS Street Front Brake Pads are a direct-fit upgrade for your Honda Fit, Acura RSX, and Honda Civic. HPS (High Performance Street) compound is Hawk's most popular street formula - it runs cooler than OEM pads, bites harder from a cold start, and doesn't dust up your wheels the way factory pads do.

Why HPS over stock?
Stock Honda Fit pads are tuned for quiet operation and low dust at the expense of fade resistance. The HPS compound extends the effective temperature range so you get consistent pedal feel whether you're in stop-and-go traffic on the 101 or pushing hard through canyon roads. Rotor wear is actually reduced compared to harder compound pads, so you won't be buying rotors any sooner than normal.

What's included:
This set covers the front axle - 4 pads total. Hardware and shims are not included; reuse your existing hardware if it's in good shape, or pick up a Honda caliper hardware kit separately. New brake lubricant on the shim contact points is recommended at install.

Break-in procedure (bedding):
Hawk recommends a standard street bedding cycle before relying on full stopping power. From ~35 mph, apply moderate brake pressure to scrub speed down to ~5 mph without coming to a complete stop. Repeat 6-8 times, then allow pads to cool for 10-15 minutes. This seats the friction material evenly across the rotor face and prevents glazing.

Rotor compatibility:
Designed for cast iron and steel rotors only. Not compatible with carbon ceramic rotors. If your rotors are below minimum thickness or heavily scored, replace them before installing new pads - fresh pads on worn rotors waste the bedding cycle and cut pad life significantly.

• Will these fit my 2007 Honda Fit Sport? Yes. This set is validated for 2007-2008 Honda Fit including the Sport trim. Confirm your front caliper is the standard single-piston sliding caliper - if your car has aftermarket big brake kit hardware, double-check dimensions below.
• Do I need to buy new rotors? Not necessarily. If your rotors are within spec and free of deep grooves, you can reuse them. Resurface or replace if they're at or below minimum thickness to get the most out of the new pads.
• What is the break-in procedure? See the bedding steps above. Skipping bedding is the most common reason for brake squeal and uneven pad deposits on new installs.
• Are shims included? No. This kit ships with 4 friction pads only. Reuse your factory shims and apply fresh caliper slide grease to all contact points during installation.
