Got an oil leak from your front main seal or your timing chain cover's cracked? The Honda K24A timing case cover (part number 11410-PPA-000) replaces your timing chain cover, timing tensioner cover, and front main seal all in one kit. The main seal's already pre-installed on the timing cover, so you're not pressing a seal in yourself. If your front main seal's leaking or your timing cover's damaged, this kit's got everything you need to fix it. You're pulling your old timing cover off, bolting the new one on, and you're done.

    Here's What's Included

You're getting the aluminum timing chain cover, the timing tensioner cover, and the front main seal. The main seal's already pressed into the timing cover when it shows up, so you don't need to mess with pressing a seal. Just bolt the cover on and the seal's installed. If you were buying these parts separately, you'd need to buy the timing cover, the tensioner cover, and the main seal, and then you'd need to press the seal into the cover yourself. This kit saves you time because it's all assembled already.

Here's Why Your Timing Cover Leaks

Your front main seal sits in the timing cover and it seals the crankshaft where it comes through the timing cover. When the seal gets old from heat cycles and oil exposure, the rubber gets hard and it cracks. Once it's cracked, oil leaks past the seal and drips out from behind your crankshaft pulley. You'll see oil on the front of your engine or oil dripping onto the ground under your car. Your timing cover can also crack from age or impact damage. If the timing cover's cracked, oil leaks out through the crack. Either way, you need a new timing cover.

Replace It When You're Doing Timing Chain Work

If you're already pulling your timing cover off to do timing chain work, water pump replacement, or front main seal replacement, just replace the whole timing cover assembly. The cover's not expensive and you've already got everything torn apart. Don't reuse an old timing cover with a 20-year-old seal in it and then wonder why it's leaking six months later. Just replace it while you're in there.
