Bought a used Honda or Acura and your intake box rattles around or sits crooked? You're probably missing the rubber mounting bushing. Honda part number 17212-P2J-J00 is the rubber bushing that mounts your intake box to the chassis. A lot of used cars are missing this bushing because the previous owner did some sketchy intake modification and lost it, or the car got in a front-end accident and the body shop replaced the intake box without the bushing. Without it, your intake box moves around and rattles. Fresh bushing mounts your intake box where it's supposed to sit.

Why This Bushing's Always Missing

If you bought a used car and the intake box's moving around or you hear rattling from the airbox area, check for this bushing. It's one of those parts that gets lost during modifications or repair work. Someone swaps in a short ram intake or cold air intake, then swaps back to stock and forgets to reinstall the bushing. Or the car gets hit and the body shop throws a junkyard intake box in without checking for all the mounting hardware. The bushing's small and it's easy to miss if you're not paying attention. Common on Modified or Accident Cars

This bushing goes missing most often on cars that've been modified or wrecked.
