Swapping a K series into your NSX? You need engine mounts that actually hold the engine in place without turning your NSX into a vibrating mess. Innovative Mounts makes K swap engine mounts specifically for the 1991-2005 NSX. These mounts bolt to your NSX chassis and hold your K series engine in the correct position. The mounts use vibration-dampening bushings that reduce engine movement without transmitting a ton of vibration into your chassis. Innovative makes three durometer options: 75A for 250-400 hp (black), 85A for 400-500 hp (grey), and 95A for 500+ hp (red). Pick the durometer based on how much power you're making.
Here's How to Pick Your Durometer
Your engine mount durometer determines how stiff the mounts are. Softer mounts (75A) absorb more vibration but allow more engine movement. Stiffer mounts (95A) reduce engine movement but transmit more vibration into your chassis. If you're making 250-400 hp, get the 75A (black) kit. If you're making 400-500 hp, get the 85A (grey) kit. If you're making 500+ hp, get the 95A (red) kit. Don't get mounts that are too soft for your power level. Your engine will move around too much and you'll get wheel hop and sloppy shifts. Don't get mounts that are too stiff for your power level either. You'll feel every vibration from your engine and your NSX will be miserable to drive on the street.
Vibration-Dampening Bushings
Innovative Mounts uses what they call "No-Tear Vibration Minimizing Bushings." That's just a fancy way of saying the bushings are designed to absorb engine vibration without tearing or deforming over time. Most aftermarket mounts use solid bushings or simple urethane bushings that transmit way too much vibration. Innovative's bushings sit between solid race mounts and soft OEM mounts. You're getting reduced engine movement without your whole car buzzing at idle.
No Chassis Modification Required
The Innovative Mounts kit bolts directly to your NSX chassis. You're not cutting, welding, or modifying your chassis. The mounts use your factory mounting points. You bolt the mounts to your chassis, drop your K series engine in, bolt it to the mounts, and you're done. All the mounting hardware's included in the kit.
K24 Engine Compatible with K24A1 Post Mount
This mount kit works with K20 and K24 engines. If you're swapping a K24, you need to use theĀ K24A1 rear engine mountĀ (the "post mount"). The kit doesn't work with K24 transmissions. You're using a K20 or K24 engine with a K20 transmission. If you're planning to use a K24 transmission, this mount kit won't work for you.
