If your B series feels a little lazy between shifts, an Exedy B Series flywheel like this wakes it up fast. This is the 9.5 lb flywheel setup, and the first thing you notice is how quickly your engine snaps to the next RPM. Throttle blips get easy, heel toe feels cleaner, and your car just feels more eager, on the street or at the track. We run these exact parts on our own cars because they make a B series feel alive, whether in a 1990-2001 Acura Integra, 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si EM1, or 1994-1997 Honda Del Sol VTEC,

Exedy uses chromoly steel here, forged or billet depending on the application, so you get a lightweight chromoly flywheel without the fragile vibes some ultra light options bring. Less rotating mass means quicker acceleration and faster rev recovery, which is exactly what you want from an Exedy high RPM flywheel when you live above VTEC. It also fits the real world stuff, an Exedy flywheel for drag racing where you need it to recover RPM between gears, an Exedy flywheel for autocross where you want instant response off corner exit, and even an Exedy flywheel for rally events where durability matters as much as feel.

One detail we like is the ring gear. Instead of an aluminum flywheel with a pressed on gear, Exedy cuts the teeth into the flywheel itself. That helps avoid the classic ring gear separation problem. Exedy also builds in airflow around the clutch face, which helps with Exedy thermal capacity flywheel behavior, meaning your engagement stays more consistent when you stack hot laps or do repeated launches.

This SFI approved flywheel Exedy unit is tested to 18,000 RPM. You should never see that on a B series, but it tells you Exedy took burst safety seriously.

    Why You’ll Love It

    • 9.5 lb flywheel Exedy feel, faster revs, quicker shifts, sharper throttle response
    • Exedy chromoly steel flywheel strength with real durability, not a disposable race part
    • Integrated ring gear teeth, no pressed on gear to come loose later
    • Better clutch cooling so hard use stays consistent
    • SFI approved and tested to 18,000 RPM

    Fitment

    • 1990 to 2001 Acura Integra, Exedy Racing flywheel Integra, Exedy performance flywheel Integra
    • 1999 to 2000 Honda Civic Si, Exedy flywheel for Civic Si
    • 1994 to 1997 Honda Del Sol VTEC, Exedy flywheel for del Sol

SKU: EXE-HF01. If you want an Exedy lightweight flywheel Acura or Integra B series that drops weight without sketchy compromises, this one makes sense. Just keep the tradeoff in mind, you give up some low RPM smoothness and it can make stop and go driving a little more touchy. If you can live with that, you get the crisp response you bought a B series for.
